报告摘要:Nanoscale topologically non-trivial spin textures, such as magnetic skyrmions, have been identified as promising candidates for the transport and storage of information for spintronic applications, notably magnetic racetrack memory devices. However, most of materials can only host the skyrmions at temperatures much lower than room temperture under strong magnetic field, which greatly hinders both the applications and fundamental research. Therefore, the search for materials that can host the skyrmions at room temperature and low magnetic field become crucial. We have observed magnetic skyrmions at room temperture and above in single, hexagonal, centrosymmetric crystals of MnNiGa[1] and Kagome magnetic Fe2Sn3 [2]. Particularly, the magnetic skyrmion chain can survive up to 630K in the Fe3Sn2 nanostripes [3], where the geometric confinements play an important role. We also developed a technique to write directly the skyrmion lattice on the magnetic Pt/Co/Ta multilayersby scanning a local field (MFM tip) [4]. More importantly, these skyrmion lattice are stable at room temperture and under zero magnetic field. This can be considered as an important step towards to the applications.
