报告摘要:The Standard Model (SM) of the particle physics is a highly successful theory. In the making and the appreciation of the SM, we review the lessons that we learned, the problems we must find solutions, and the puzzles that we wonder the answers. To make progress in all the fronts, we present the current and future experimental projects and facilities, adopted from the US P5 report, that will lead us to a deeper understanding of the Nature.

报告人简介:Prof. Tao Han received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin in 1990, and has been working at Fermilab, UC Davis, UW Madison. In 2011, he relocated to the University of Pittsburgh and presently serves as the founding director of the Pittsburgh Particle Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology Center (PITT PACC). He was named Distinguished Professor of High Energy Physics in 2014. Prof. Han’s research has focused on new physics at colliders, phenomenological formulation of theoretical models. He made many contributions to the studies of Higgs physics, SUSY, large extra dimensions, neutrino mass generation, dark matter, etc. In recent years, he has been involved in exploring physics potentials for future high-energy colliders. Prof. Han was elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS) in 2003 and a Fermilab Frontier Fellow in 2004. He was 2021 Chair of APS Division of Particles and Fields,Chair for the 2020 APS April Meeting.
