报告摘要:To decipher the nature of dark matter is a critical task in modern physics and cosmology. A promising strategy to solve this problem is to detect elastic scattering of dark matter off atomic target in a sensitive detector operated in deep underground labs. Among various technologies, dual-phase time projection chamber is pushing the forefront of dark matter direct detection with both very large exposure and ultra-low background. The XENON1T experiment, which contains 2 tonne of liquid xenon as target, had performed a search since Dec 2016 and reported the most sensitive dark matter search results. This search features the largest 1 tonne-year exposure with the lowest electronic recoil background level down to 82 events/tonne/year/keVee in any dark matter experiment. This data place the most stringent limit on the spin-independent interaction cross section between dark matter and nucleons, with a minimum value of4.710-47cm2 at a mass of 30 GeV. This talk will cover analysis and results from the most sensitive dark matter search with the XENON1T detector, together with an outlook of the future XENONnT experiment which will start commissioning in late 2019.
