报告摘要:Gravitational lensing observations, which measure the image distortions of background galaxies caused by the gravitational field of the matter distribution in the foreground, provide a promising tool to probe the dark matter distribution directly. In particular, galaxy-galaxy weak lensing, which focuses on the image distortions around lensing galaxies, can be used to probe the distribution of dark matter around galaxies, hence their dark matter haloes. The galaxy-galaxy lensing signal produced by individual galaxies is usually very weak, and so one has to stack the signal from many lens galaxies to have a statistical measurement. In our work, we investigated the potential of galaxy-galaxy lensing in measuring dark matter haloes structures and substructures.
