报告摘要：Recently LHCb and CDF announced measurements of direct CP violation in charm decays that looked surprisingly large. I will explain how large of an effect one would expect in the standard model using only scaling arguments. Then I will discuss what types of new physics models could explain the measurements as well as whether there are any indications that in fact the SM contributions themselves are enhanced.
