报告摘要:A Multi-Phase Transport (AMPT) model is a Monte Carlo model that was constructed for the study of the quark-gluon plasma created in high-energy heavy ion collisions. It contains an explicit parton phase and a quark coalescence model for the hadronization of a parton matter into a hadron matter. The source codes of the model are available at http://personal.ecu.edu/linz/ampt. Since its public release in 2004 together with a detailed description of its physics in Phys. Rev. C 72, 064901 (2005), this model has been used to study various aspects of heavy ion collisions including the elliptic flow, two-meson interferometry and triangular flow at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). Now the heavy ion program at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has began. In this talk I will first give an overview of the structure and status of the AMPT model, and then discuss areas for future work.
