Research interests are

1 Quantum optics in some special environments.

a. Atomic radiation and quantum coherent phenomena in special environments

(special medium, boundary, and electromagnetic environment)

b. Electromagnetically-induced transparency,nonlinear optics at low light

level,coherent information storage and coherent control

2 Artificial Photonic materials

a. coherent control of surface plasmons.

b. Quantum metamaterials.

3 Physics of intense-laser-plasma interactions

a. The propagation of ultra-short intense laser pulse in plasmas and

related nonlinear phenomena; nonlinearity from relativistic effects, etc

b. Particle acceleration by intense laser in plasmas or in vacuum.

4 Superconducting Quantum interference Devices
